Let’s
Play & Explore TOGETHER!
A community-first approach to parks and public spaces.
Welcome! I’m Jesse Rawley, and I’m running for PenMet Parks Commissioner to preserve what makes our parks special while planning for a stronger, more connected future. As a husband, father, and dedicated community member, I’m passionate about ensuring our parks remain places where families gather, children thrive, and neighbors come together.

Meet Jesse
Rooted in Community, Driven by Service
I have proudly called Western Washington home for the past 15 years, and for several of those years, Gig Harbor has been my community. My wife, a dedicated school counselor, and I are raising our two young daughters (ages 4 and 6) and we love our PenMet Parks.
Growing up in a small town shaped by community, I know firsthand how vital parks and public spaces are. My single parent mother raised my brother and I with the help of our village—neighbors, coaches, and community programs that gave us a place to belong. My upbringing fuels my desire to give back to our parks.
Professionally, I’ve spent 23 years as an insurance consultant, helping people protect what matters most and working with people for a common goal. I’ve also volunteered as a youth sports coach and served on several nonprofit boards. These roles have deepened my understanding of how to bring people together and the role parks play in that vision.
Why I’m Running
For Families. For Fellowship. For the Future.
I’m running for PenMet Parks Commissioner to be a driving force for positive growth, bringing our community together, while trying not to increase the tax burden on our community. I believe in responsible budgeting, public/private partnerships and when tough financial decisions are warranted, a vote of the people should decide the outcome.
My priorities:
Park Preservation
Preserve and enhance our parks for current and future generations
Community Spaces
Create more spaces that bring people together—kids, seniors, families
Lead with Clarity
Promote transparency and responsible financial stewardship
Smart Funding
Protect taxpayers by pursuing innovative, effective funding solutions
Watching my daughters play in our local parks reminds me of my own childhood—and of the responsibility we all share to keep these spaces thriving. Let’s build a future where families feel connected, safe, and inspired by the parks that bring us together.
